The Optisan EVE 3-12x56i is a second focal plane (SFP) hunting riflescope with an illuminated MRAD-G4Ai12 reticle, 30 mm tube and 0.1 mrad adjustments. The EVE line is designed by the manufacturer for hunters: the 3-12x zoom range offers a wide field of view at low power and the precision needed for shot placement at higher magnification, while the large 56 mm objective is designed for twilight hours.
The reticle is a clean German No.4 that covers as little of the target as possible for fast acquisition, with a fine illuminated red centre dot that, according to the manufacturer, allows precision shots up to 300 yards. Illumination offers 6 steps with off positions in between. The low-profile turrets reset to zero without tools; parallax is fixed at 100 yards and the one-piece tube is made of aircraft aluminium.
