The Vortex Veil 400 is a handheld thermal monocular with a 400x300 pixel sensor (12 µm pixel pitch) and 1024x768 OLED display, for night and day wildlife observation. With 2.3x base magnification and 1x, 2x and 4x digital zoom, it offers a detection range of up to 1,100 yd (approx. 1,006 m).

It features four colour palettes (White Hot, Black Hot, Red Hot, Multicolor), three viewing modes (Balanced, Contrast, Brush), built-in photo and video recording and a digital compass. It is powered by a rechargeable 18650 battery with USB-C charging. It cannot be mounted on a firearm; it has a 1/4"-20 tripod mount.
