The Optisan LR 8x42 is a roof prism binocular with an open-bridge design, conceived as a companion for every outdoor outing: birdwatching, hiking, nature observation and hunting. Lightweight and fitted with a neoprene strap, it is comfortable to carry all day and suits the whole family.
The open bridge provides a natural, stable grip, letting you hold the binocular in one hand and focus with the other. The 42 mm objective combines good brightness and portability for clear images even in dense woodland or at dawn and dusk; the manufacturer states 80% total light transmission and a Japanese-designed optical system that reduces edge distortion and chromatic aberration. It is IPX7 waterproof (immersion up to 1 m for 30 minutes), fogproof and nitrogen-purged.
