The Optisan EVR II 10x42 ED is a roof prism binocular with ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass, designed for birdwatching, nature observation and hunting. Compared with the first-generation EVR it offers a significantly wider field of view, so you can find your subject faster and observe it in greater detail, with 93% total light transmission according to the manufacturer.
The 10x magnification brings distant subjects closer while keeping a compact, light (700 g) magnesium-aluminium alloy body that reduces fatigue on long outings. BaK4 prisms with phase-correction and dielectric coatings, fully multi-coated optics and a 1.5 m close focus make it suitable for observing insects and butterflies too. It is IPX7 waterproof (immersion up to 1 m for 30 minutes), fogproof and nitrogen-purged.
