The Leupold BackCountry Cross-Slot one-piece 20 MOA base for Remington 700 short action is machined from 7075-T6 aluminium and is presented by Leupold as one of the lightest and strongest bases in its range. The cross-slot recoil lugs accept Picatinny and Weaver style rings.

The one-piece body stiffens the connection between optic and receiver and lets you freely choose the fore-aft position of the rings. This is the adaptable version: the package includes two sets of screws, 6-48 and 8-40, for mounting on receivers with standard or oversized holes. The screws should be torqued to 22 in-lb (approx. 2.5 Nm). The built-in 20 MOA cant increases the riflescope's usable elevation travel for long-range shooting.
