Vector Optics Paragon 10x42 Rangefinding Binoculars
The Paragon 10x42 combines a 10x42 binocular and a laser rangefinder into a single instrument, eliminating the need to switch between two devices while observing. It provides measurements of over 2500 yards on reflective targets, over 1700 yards on concrete buildings, over 1500 yards on large trees, and over 800 yards on deer.
The laser diode operates at 905 nm and displays readings on an OLED screen with 9 brightness levels, with the option to select between yards and meters. The stated accuracy is ±1 yard under 300 yards and ±2 yards between 300 and 1500 yards, with an acquisition time of less than 0.5 seconds under 100 yards and less than 1.5 seconds beyond that. The scan mode operates in less than 2 seconds, and the automatic shut-off triggers after 30 seconds. The integrated inclinometer covers ±60°. The optics use BK-7 prisms with broadband anti-reflective coating; the PPS body is IP67 certified and operates between -10 and 50 °C using a CR2 battery.
