The Sightmark SM39017 is an in-chamber laser boresight designed for the preliminary alignment of sights for .45 ACP caliber pistols. Its cartridge shape allows it to be inserted directly into the chamber to project a red laser dot along the barrel axis, reducing the number of shots required for initial sighting.

The compact and lightweight brass body makes it convenient to carry and use. It is suitable for the preliminary adjustment of iron sights, red dots, and other sighting systems; final calibration must always be verified with live fire.
