Forster Products .243 Pilot for Hand-held Outside Neck Turner

The .243" pilot is the guide element that enters the case neck on the Forster Products Hand-held Outside Neck Turner. It supports the neck from the inside while the carbide cutter removes material from the outside, and it is the component that determines the machining reference.

Forster neck turner pilots are machined with specific angles and clearances for neck turning and have a diameter .002" to .0025" smaller than the bullet diameter, a value that compensates for the clearance necessary for case rotation. The pilot is dedicated: it is not interchangeable with the pilot for the Case Trimmer cutter shaft nor with those for the bench-mounted Outside Neck Turner.
