Leupold VX-6HD Gen 2 4-24x52 CDS-ZL2 Side Focus FireDot Duplex Illuminated Riflescope

Leupold VX-6HD Gen 2 4-24x52 CDS-SZL2 Side Focus Illum. FireDot Duplex

The Leupold VX-6HD Gen 2 4-24x52 CDS-SZL2 Side Focus Illum. FireDot Duplex is part of the second generation of the VX-6HD series, featuring a 6:1 zoom ratio and a 34 mm tube. It is designed for selective hunting and shooting in difficult light conditions, where the objective diameter and lens coatings make the difference at twilight. This version features a 52 mm objective lens, measures 14.5″ (approx. 36.8 cm), and weighs 26.2 oz (approx. 743 g).

The illuminated FireDot Duplex reticle is located on the second focal plane (SFP): the apparent thickness of the reticle remains constant as the magnification changes. The turrets operate with ¼ MOA clicks and offer 100 MOA (29 MIL, 291 cm at 100 m) of elevation and windage adjustment. Parallax is adjusted from the third turret (side focus, minimum parallax-free distance 50 yd). The CDS-SZL2 elevation turret with SpeedSet dial and ZeroLock windage is compatible with the Custom Dial System service, which allows you to order a custom dial engraved for your specific ammunition ballistics. The reticle illumination offers 8 brightness levels with Motion Sensor Technology, powered by a CR2032 battery. The body is waterproof and fogproof.

Recommended use

It is suitable for selective hunting and twilight shooting on bolt-action rifles, where the 6:1 zoom ratio covers both observation and aimed long-range shooting. It requires 34 mm rings of appropriate height: the 52 mm objective lens generally requires high rings or a raised base, to be verified on the individual action.
