Leupold VX-6HD Gen 2 3-18x56 CDS-ZL2 Side Focus FireDot Twilight Hunter Illuminated Riflescope

Leupold VX-6HD Gen 2 3-18x56 CDS-SZL2 Side Focus Illum. FireDot Twilight Hunter

The Leupold VX-6HD Gen 2 3-18x56 CDS-SZL2 Side Focus Illum. FireDot Twilight Hunter is part of the second generation of the VX-6HD series, featuring a 6:1 zoom ratio and a 30 mm tube. It is designed for selective hunting and shooting in challenging lighting conditions, where the objective diameter and lens coating make the difference at twilight. This version features a 56 mm objective, measures 13.5″ (approx. 34.3 cm), and weighs 24.7 oz (approx. 700 g).

The illuminated FireDot Twilight Hunter reticle is positioned on the second focal plane (SFP): the apparent thickness of the reticle remains constant as the magnification changes. The turrets feature ¼ MOA clicks and offer 85 MOA (25 MIL, 247 cm at 100 m) of adjustment for elevation and windage. Parallax is adjusted from the third turret (side focus). The CDS-SZL2 elevation turret with SpeedSet and ZeroLock windage is compatible with the Custom Dial System service, which allows you to order a dial custom-engraved for your specific ammunition ballistics. The reticle illumination offers multiple brightness levels, with Motion Sensor Technology that turns off the dot after five minutes of inactivity. An internal electronic level signals the lateral tilt of the firearm. The body is waterproof and fogproof.

Recommended use

It is suitable for selective hunting and twilight shooting on bolt-action rifles, where the 6:1 zoom ratio covers both observation and precision distance shooting. It requires 30 mm tube rings of appropriate height: the 56 mm objective generally requires high rings or a raised base, which should be verified for the specific action.
