The Leupold VX-5HD Gen 2 1-5x24 Illum. FireDot 4 Fine is a low-magnification riflescope from the second generation of the VX-5HD series, built on a 30 mm tube for driven hunts, dynamic shooting, and use on semi-automatic rifles, where field of view and rapid target acquisition are essential. This version features a 24 mm objective lens, measures 10.7″ (approx. 27.2 cm), and weighs 15 oz (approx. 425 g).

The illuminated FireDot 4 Fine reticle is located on the second focal plane (SFP): the apparent thickness of the reticle remains constant as magnification changes. The turrets operate with 1 cm adjustments at 100 m (metric turrets) and offer 524 cm at 100 m (180 MOA, 52.4 MIL) of elevation and windage adjustment, with 80 cm per revolution at 100 m. Parallax is fixed at 150 yd. The elevation and windage turrets are capped, featuring a Pop-Up rezero system. The reticle illumination offers 8 brightness levels with Motion Sensor Technology, powered by a CR2032 battery. The body is waterproof and fogproof.

Recommended use

It is suitable for semi-automatic rifles and driven hunt firearms, where the 1x base magnification allows for shooting with both eyes open, while the maximum magnification covers aimed shots at medium distances. It requires 30 mm rings of appropriate height: for a 24 mm objective, low rings are generally sufficient.
