Pair of Leupold Quick Release steel bases with a matte finish, dedicated to Winchester 70 Express receivers manufactured before 1964. In the official Leupold compatibility guide, the same code is also listed under the Dakota 76 entry.

The Quick Release system allows you to remove and reattach the scope without tools: the patented lever mechanism engages the steel base by pulling the ring downward and forward until locked, and Leupold claims a return to zero within a quarter MOA after each reassembly. The two-piece configuration leaves the ejection port free and respects the lines of classic actions. The base-to-receiver screw torque is specified at 22 in-lbs.
