The Leupold Mark 3HD 4-12x40 P5 Illum. FireDot TMR is a riflescope from the Mark 3HD series, Leupold's line featuring MIL adjustments and a 30mm tube designed for semi-automatic rifles, practical shooting, and medium-range sports use. This version features a 40mm objective lens, measures 12.7″ (approx. 32.3 cm), and weighs 16.2 oz (approx. 459 g).

The illuminated FireDot TMR reticle is located on the second focal plane (SFP): the apparent thickness of the reticle remains constant as magnification changes. The turrets operate with 0.1 MIL clicks and offer 19.7 MIL (68 MOA) of elevation and windage adjustment. Parallax is fixed at 150 yards. The ZeroStop system creates a mechanical stop when returning to zero. The reticle illumination offers 8 brightness levels with Motion Sensor Technology. The housing is waterproof and fogproof.

Recommended use

It is suitable for semi-automatic rifles and sports shooting firearms, where MIL adjustments and a reticle consistent with the turrets allow for direct corrections without conversions. It requires 30mm tube rings of appropriate height: the 40mm objective generally requires medium rings, to be verified on the individual action.
