The #19 X-Press shell holder is the component that holds the cartridge case base on the Lee APP (Automatic Processing Press). It fits into the ram head and keeps the case aligned with the die during processing, which on the APP occurs with the case being pushed from the bottom up in a continuous cycle.

X-Press shell holders form their own series, with their own numbering and geometry: they should not be confused with universal press shell holders or those for manual priming tools, which share the same numbering logic but have different mounts. The #19 number serves cartridges that share the same base diameter, so a single shell holder covers an entire group of calibers.
