The Lee Precision #3 shell holder for Hand Priming Tool is the support that holds the cartridge case in Lee manual priming tools while the primer is seated into the pocket. It is the size designated by Lee for 30-30 Winchester, 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser, 32-40 Winchester, 32 Winchester Special, 7.65x53 Argentine, 45 Winchester Magnum, and cases with a similar rim diameter.

The difference from the universal shell holder for presses is in the construction: the version for the manual priming tool lacks the bottom stem present on universal models; it inserts into the tool's seat and cannot be mounted on the press ram, just as the universal shell holder will not fit into the priming tool. The numbering, however, is the same as the universal #R series, so those who know the number used on the press will find the same number for the priming phase. Each number corresponds to a specific rim diameter and covers all cartridges that share it.
