The Hornady #5 collet is the collet for .277 diameters to be used with the Hornady Cam-Lock Bullet Puller, the collet-style bullet puller that mounts to your reloading press. It is used to salvage bullets and components from incorrectly assembled rifle cartridges.

The collet inserts into the Cam-Lock Bullet Puller and is tightened onto the bullet by the cam lever; lowering the press handle extracts the bullet from the case. Each collet is sized for a specific diameter: using the correct number ensures a firm and uniform grip on the bullet.
