The GPO Passion SD 8x42 is a roof prism binocular by GPO German Precision Optics with SD glass (Substantial Definition), BAK-4 Schmidt-Pechan prisms and a magnesium frame. The newest member of the Passion line, it is designed to deliver good performance even in low light at an affordable price, and is suited to hunting, birdwatching and hiking.

The proprietary GPObright coating, fully multi-coated optics and dielectric-coated prisms provide 88% light transmission and bright, high-contrast images. Weighing about 680 g, the Passion SD 8x42 remains comfortable to carry for long periods; the magnesium frame with full rubber armour protects it outdoors, while the twist-up eyecups let you adjust eye position to the 17.3 mm eye relief.
