GPO Passion ED 8x42 binoculars, sand

The GPO Passion ED 8x42 is a roof prism binocular from GPO German Precision Optics with ED lenses (Extra-low Dispersion) and a full magnesium housing, shown here in the sand finish. Slim and ergonomic, it is designed for birdwatching, nature observation, hiking and hunting, and offers a high-quality entry into observation optics with an excellent price-performance ratio.

The ED optical design, multi-layer coatings and custom-tuned optics deliver 90% light transmission, true color rendition, high edge-to-edge sharpness and high resolution. The 8x magnification provides a very wide 143 m at 1000 m field of view and a close focus of just 1.8 m. Weighing 740 g and featuring an integrated tripod thread, it stays light and practical even on long outings.
