Set of four replacement springs designed for the Eemann Tech Competition extractor for 1911 and 2011 pistols and, more generally, for extractors that use a dual-spring system. On these extractors, the spring is the element that determines the pressure of the claw on the case head, i.e., the variable that determines whether the casing is held until it reaches the ejector.

The springs are made of heat-treated steel. Keeping a supply on hand allows you to re-adjust the extractor grip or replace a worn-out spring without putting the firearm out of commission. Eemann Tech indicates that in most cases replacement is straightforward and does not require fitting; on firearms that have already been modified or have different tolerances, the intervention of a gunsmith may be necessary.
