Delta Optical Forest Gen III ED binoculars

Delta Optical Forest Gen III

The Forest Gen III is the third generation of Delta Optical's entry-level binoculars and is the model that brings optical solutions usually reserved for higher-tier segments into the entry-level range. Compared to previous generations, the design has completely changed, and it is available in four configurations: 8x42, 10x42, 10x50, and 12x50, to cover both wide-field observation and use in low light.

The package of coatings is its real strong point. The lenses are ED (Extra-low Dispersion) with FBMC (Fully Broadband Multi-Coating) and specific corrections for apochromatic defects, which minimize color fringing on high-contrast edges. The surfaces of the internal prisms receive both Phase Correction Coating, which realigns light components shifted by reflection in the roof prism to recover resolution and contrast, and Dielectric Coating, a high-reflectivity multi-layer coating that increases the overall brightness of the image. The chassis is made of magnesium, and the body is covered in shock-resistant rubber.
