This is a specific product for removing copper residues that have accumulated inside the barrel of the Bore Tech family. Unlike other products, it is not acidic, does not contain ammonia and is therefore not dangerous. It works by simply dissolving the copper through an electrolytic process; the metallic copper with a neutral charge Cu0 is oxidized and divided into its cupric state Cu+2. In the second phase, the specially enhanced binding agent acts with the Cu+2 like a sort of magnet, attracting the copper particles to the patches; these will come out blue as long as there are deposits to be removed. For this operation, it is best to equip yourself with a special aluminum patch pusher, as common brass ones contain copper and inevitably react, always leaving blue-tinged patches.
