The Leupold QR Quick Release two-piece bases are the interface between the Browning BAR and Benelli Argo receiver and the rings that hold the riflescope: they define the position, height, and alignment of the optic, upon which the zero retention under recoil and correct eye relief depend. The two-piece design leaves the ejection port clear and reduces weight and bulk compared to a one-piece rail. The matte black finish limits reflections and matches matte blued or treated firearms.

The Quick Release system combines steel bases with lever-operated QR rings: by unlocking the levers, the riflescope separates from the firearm and can be remounted while maintaining zero within the ±1/4 MOA declared by Leupold. It is the classic solution for those who frequently transport their firearm disassembled, for those who alternate multiple optics on the same rifle, or for those who want to be able to quickly return to iron sights.
