Leupold BackCountry Cross-Slot series one-piece base, designed for Weatherby Mark V rifles with a six-lug bolt, in the LT version. It is intended for those who carry their firearm to high altitudes and want to reduce every gram without sacrificing mounting rigidity.

The body is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, the aircraft-grade alloy that Leupold uses for its lightest bases: 1.8 ounces, approximately 51 grams, over a length of 6.3 inches. The cross-slot profile accepts both Weaver and Picatinny rings, providing ample freedom in choosing height and diameter. The base has zero MOA elevation, a choice consistent with hunting use at standard distances, and requires a base-to-receiver screw torque of 22 in-lbs.
