Leupold one-piece base from the Standard series, in gloss-finish steel, designed for the Browning BAR semi-automatic rifle. In the official Leupold compatibility guide, the same base is also indicated for Benelli Argo and R1, which share the receiver interface.
The Standard system is distinguished by how it manages windage: the front ring is dovetailed and rotates in its seat, while the rear ring is adjusted laterally by the two windage screws. By performing a rough zeroing using the base screws, you can get on target without consuming the scope's internal adjustment range, which remains available for shooting corrections. Leupold indicates this base as a suitable choice for standard calibers up to, but excluding, .300 Win. Mag., with a torque of 22 in-lbs on the base/receiver screws and 45 in-lbs on the windage screws.
