Wilson Combat drop-in beavertail grip safety for 1911 Government – stainless
The Wilson Combat drop-in beavertail grip safety is the stainless steel grip safety for 1911 Government (full-size) pistols that replaces the original safety to improve control and comfort while shooting. The extended beavertail tang eliminates discomfort and "hammer bite," the pinching of the hand between the hammer and slide typical of stock grip safeties.
Designed for drop-in installation on Colt-style 1911 frames, it is intended for use with Commander-style or bobbed spur hammers. The original part can be reinstalled at any time to return the firearm to factory configuration. Because tolerances vary between manufacturers, minor fitting may be required.
