The Strike Industries G2 Mega Fins handguard rail is constructed of aluminum and is extremely lightweight. The name Fins comes from the fins that surround the barrel of the rifle. These fins help dissipate heat generated by the barrel. The G2 version has shorter heat dissipation fins to accommodate larger barrel diameters. The handguard features a 7-sided (heptagonal) Keymod system. This allows for the possibility of setting up the various rails in any position. The Mega Fins offer an ergonomic, extremely lightweight design without sacrificing durability or quality. The Strike Mega Fins G2 is available in various lengths: 12" 12.5" FSP-C for carbine gas systems, 13" 13.5" FSP-C for medium-length gas systems, and 15".
