Redding .367" Heat-Treated Steel Neck Sizing Bushing
The Redding .367" Neck Sizing bushing is the sizing ring that determines the diameter to which the case neck is reduced, and consequently the tension with which the neck holds the bullet. This version is made of heat-treated steel.
The steel is heat-treated to a surface hardness of approximately Rc 60-62, and the sizing diameter is hand-polished, a process Redding uses to reduce the effort required to pass the neck through. The bushing works only on the neck, without touching the body or shoulder of the case, and can be replaced in seconds to change bullet tension: the Redding range covers diameters in .001" increments, from .185" to .368", corresponding to calibers from .17 to .338.
Main features
- .367" sizing diameter
- Steel heat-treated to approximately Rc 60-62
- Hand-polished sizing diameter to reduce effort
- External dimensions: 1/2" diameter by 3/8" length
- Part of the Redding range in .001" increments, from .185" to .368"
- Interchangeable in all Redding Bushing Style dies
Recommended use
It fits in all Redding Bushing Style dies and is interchangeable with Wilson-type bushings. To choose the diameter, Redding suggests measuring the outside diameter of the neck of a loaded cartridge with a micrometer and subtracting .002", a value that accounts for brass spring-back. The manufacturer recommends lubricating the neck before sizing.
