Complete guide to the Meopta reticles fitted to the Optika6 (now called MeoPro R6) and MeoSport R riflescopes available at Planet Shooters. For each reticle you will find the official dimensioned drawing, the meaning of each letter, the values in mrad or MOA and instructions for use.
Meopta publishes its reticles as technical spec sheets with reference letters (A, B, C…) and tables of values. The Optika6 manual does not include ranging formulas: to estimate range and calculate corrections, use the formulas in the reticle guide, valid for any mrad or MOA reticle.

* "MRAD-D" does not appear in official Meopta documents. For the 5-30x56 FFP Meopta lists only MilDot 3, .308 RD, 6.5CM RD and MRAD RD: check the reticle on the packaging or ask us to confirm.
Optika6 illumination: 6 intensity levels with intermediate off positions between one level and the next; CR2032 battery. The control is coaxial with the parallax knob.

Unit MOA
Focal plane FFP (1-6x24 FFP) or SFP (values at 6x)
Illumination red center dot
Reticle for MSR/AR rifles in .223/5.56. Meopta describes it as having graduated holdovers for the trajectory out to 1000 yd and drift references for a 5 mph crosswind at each distance. The seven bars below the center are the aiming points for increasing distances; their width is the wind correction.
Values that change with the model (A1 line, A3 lower post, C center gap, D illuminated dot):

How to use it: Meopta does not print the distance for each bar or the reference load on the spec sheet. Zero the center, then match each bar to a distance with a ballistic calculator (entering the E3–E9 values) and verify at the range.

Long-range shooting reticle: wind hash marks every 0.2 mil on the horizontal line and a lower tree numbered from 2 to 12 mil, with dots for drop and wind.

How to use it: reticle and turrets are in mrad. Measure the target (range in meters = size in cm ÷ mil × 10), then dial the drop or aim with the corresponding tree dot and correct for wind with the dots on the same row.

Focal plane FFP – values correct at every magnification
Turrets 0.1 mrad
Meopta offers it for hunters and long-range shooters. It has an open 2 mil center horseshoe for rapid engagement, wind references every 0.2 mil and a tree numbered from 3 to 12 mil. Meopta offers it only on Optika6 FFP models with mil adjustments.

Turrets 0.15 mrad
LPVO reticle for MSR rifles: illuminated horseshoe with a center dot for rapid engagement at 1x and holdover crosses on the lower post, spaced 1 mil apart. Meopta states that the holdovers are designed for the 5.56x45 trajectory.

* In the same Meopta spec sheet the text refers to a "3 MOA" horseshoe while the table gives 3.00 mrad. The numbers 3, 4 and 6 next to the crosses are not explained: verify the references at the range.
