Riflescope reticles: GPO, Optisan, Falcon, Dörr and other brands
Third part of the reticle guide, dedicated to the GPO, Optisan, Falcon, Dörr, Discovery, Mueller and Gamo riflescopes available at Planet Shooters. Dimensioned drawings and values come from the manufacturers' official specifications.
For the basic concepts (first and second focal plane, MOA, MRAD, ranging) start from the riflescope reticle guide; the other brands are in the second part.
For each riflescope GPO publishes the reticle coverage in cm at 100 m at maximum magnification. Remember that 10 cm at 100 m corresponds to 1 mrad. In SFP (second focal plane) reticles the values are exact only at that magnification: at half magnification they double. On all SPECTRA models each click moves the point of impact by 1 cm at 100 m (0.1 mrad).
iControl illumination: on the "i" models the light switches off automatically after 3 hours without adjustments and, thanks to the tilt sensor, when the rifle is set down at an angle (beyond 50° sideways or 70° up/down it switches off immediately; between 30–50° sideways or 50–70° up/down after 3 minutes). It switches back on as soon as the rifle returns to position. To deactivate the sensor: with the illumination off, turn the optic upside down by 180° and switch it on at level 6 or higher (the light flashes 3 times). CR2032 battery.

Hunting reticles with four posts (G4) or three posts (G3i Drive, for driven hunts). The G4i Fiber has a fiber-optic illuminated dot, "extremely fine and bright", made in Germany. The gap between the posts also serves as a reference for estimating range: for example, on the 1-6x24i at 6x the gap between the horizontal posts of the G4i Fiber covers 200 cm at 100 m.

G3i Drive (SPECTRA 1-6x24i, at 6x): A gap between the horizontal posts 140 cm, B center → lower post 70 cm, C illuminated dot 3 cm, D wire thickness 0.5 cm. Values in cm at 100 m.
How to use it: zero the dot at your usual hunting distance and aim with the dot. To estimate range, compare the outline of the animal with the post dimensions, at the magnification stated in the table.

GPO lists these values in the "cm / 100 m at 27x" column; the scale in the drawing is numbered 10 and 20, consistent with a MOA reticle. If in doubt, check the optic's manual.
The manufacturer does not publish a dimensioned drawing of the reticle: the manual supplied with the optic is the reference.

Turrets 1 cm/100 m (0.1 mrad)
"MIL-Spec" horseshoe reticle in the first focal plane, so it changes size with magnification. At 1x you aim with the illuminated dot with both eyes open; at higher magnifications you use the circle of the horseshoe. GPO recommends it for distances from 5 to 600 m.
The manufacturer does not publish a dimensioned drawing of the reticle: the manual supplied with the optic is the reference.

Turrets ¼ MOA (0.7 cm at 100 m)
Illumination 4-12x50i: G4i Fiber dot, iControl
The PASSION 3-9x42 and 4-12x42 have a non-illuminated Plex (duplex) reticle, the 4-12x50i the G4i Fiber with illuminated dot. They are hunting reticles without holdover scales: zero them at your usual hunting distance and aim at the center. GPO does not publish the dimensions of the PASSION reticles.
Optisan (Optisan Optics Europe GmbH, Berlin) publishes a spec sheet for each reticle with the focal plane, unit of measurement and the magnification at which the dimensions are exact. The number in the name of the SFP reticles indicates the calibration magnification: MHP10i at 10x, G4Ai12 at 12x.

Optisan describes it as a mil reticle "for precision ranging at all magnifications", with a clean field of view and fine wind references. The drawing shows references on the upper post at 0.25, 0.5 and 1.0 mrad from the center, a scale numbered every 5 mrad and Ø 0.1 and 0.05 mrad floating dots as wind references. The 16 is fitted to the EVX Gen II 4-16x44 F1, the 24 to the 6-24x50 F1.
How to use it: reticle and turrets are both in mrad: measure the error on the reticle and dial the same value (10 clicks = 1 mrad), or aim with the scale.
Focal plane FFP – values correct at every magnification
Turrets ¼ MOA, 20 MOA per revolution
Illumination no
MOA version of the same concept: 1.0 and 2.0 MOA references near the center and Ø 0.3 and 0.2 MOA floating dots for wind, with values correct at all magnifications.
Illumination 6 levels with intermediate off positions
Turrets 0.1 mrad, 10 mrad per revolution
Illuminated mil reticle for precision ranging at 10x, with fine wind references: references on the upper post at 0.25, 0.5 and 1.0 mrad from the center. Fitted to the ES 3-12x44i, ES 4-16x44i, EVX Gen II 4-16x44i and 6-24x50i.
How to use it (Optisan spec sheet): at 10x the values are those shown in the drawing. At other magnifications, recalculate: at 5x multiply all values by 2, at 12x divide them by 1.2.
Focal plane SFP – values at maximum magnification (12x)

Turrets ⅛ MOA, 10 MOA per revolution, about 50 MOA of travel

LHD 8-32x50 SFIR: red-illuminated MOA reticle (6 levels, CR2032), side parallax from 15 yd, 50 MOA of travel. The Discovery technical spec sheet lists it as SFP, while the description of the same product refers to FFP.
MS 4x32 and MS 6x32: airgun optics with a MOA reticle, parallax fixed at 50 yd and 120 MOA of travel.
Discovery does not publish the name and dimensions of the reticles or the calibration magnification. The VT-Z models and the 6-24x50 FFP-L are no longer listed on the official website.
Mueller describes the reticle as a "Mildot" for accurate ranging at 10x. The turrets are in MOA (⅛ MOA per click, 40" at 100 yd of travel) and the side parallax ranges from 10 yd to infinity. To measure, set the optic to 10x and use the mil formulas in the main guide; remember to convert the correction before dialing it (1 mil ≈ 3.44 MOA). On the APV 4.5-14x40 AO Mueller does not specify the reticle; clicks are ¼ MOA and the parallax is adjustable from 10 yd.
The manufacturer does not publish a dimensioned drawing of the reticle: the manual supplied with the optic is the reference.
