It attaches to the receiver via a dedicated barrel nut and does not touch the barrel, which remains free to vibrate without being affected by the pressure of the support hand or the weight of accessories: this is the configuration that ensures the most consistent grouping.

The body is machined from black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum with a slim tubular profile and weighs 275 g. The top Picatinny rail is continuous and features 23 slots, while the other sides remain smooth: the package includes three 2-slot rail sections to be positioned only where needed. The integrated anti-rotation tab maintains alignment with the receiver, and the 34.5 mm internal diameter allows for the use of low-profile gas blocks. Made in the USA; US Patent 8806792.

Key features

Platform: AR-15, mid-length gas system

Type: free float handguard with dedicated barrel nut

Length: 9 inches (243.6 mm overall, 235 mm installed)

Continuous 23-slot top Picatinny rail

Internal diameter: 34.5 mm; height 52 mm; width 42 mm

Material: black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum

Weight: 275 g

Integrated anti-rotation tab

Compatible with low-profile gas blocks

Recommended use

Suitable for AR-15 carbines with a mid-length gas system and low-profile gas block, when a lightweight, slim-diameter free float handguard is desired.

Package contents

Free float handguard

Barrel nut and locking ring

3 x 2-slot Picatinny rail sections

16 x flat head hex screws

4 x spacer rings

3 mm Allen key

Barrel nut wrench

User manual

Manufacturer SKU: MTU004SS

https://www.planetshooters.com/en/products/utg-pro-paramano-super-slim-free-float-per-ar-15-mid-length-9-pollici
